Brooklyn, NY – Bar Lab Hospitality, Space Invaders and Link Miami Rebels today announce the official opening of Jolene Brooklyn, a one-of-a-kind sound space at the new Moxy Williamsburg. The funky, retro-themed high-energy sound room is complete with a state-of-the-art audio and light system designed to celebrate local music culture and Brooklyn-based artists. The venue draws top talent from Brooklyn’s thriving nightlife scene as well as the global dance music circuit to create an idyllic dance floor for locals and visitors alike. The team has Brooklyn-based DJ/producer Toribio and Seven Davis Jr. scheduled for the March 17 opening night at Jolene Brooklyn.

A vision inspired by the past built for partygoers of the present and future, Jolenerepresents the first formal collaboration between Moxy Hotels, hospitality pioneers Bar Lab Hospitality, and Link Miami Rebels | Space Invaders – a Miami-based nightlife trio formed In 2016. Space Invaders, which consists of III Points co-founder David Sinopoliand Miami nightlife veterans Davide Danese and Coloma Kaboomsky of Link Miami Rebels, own the world-renowned dance music haven Club Space, a revolutionary staple of Miami club culture. Bar Lab Hospitality founders Elad Zvi and Gabe Orta have become synonymous with service and quality from their award-winning Broken Shakerand more. Now, both will bring their reputation for top-tier musical expansion and unconditional acceptance to Brooklyn.

The space inspired by the fierceness and femininity of Dolly Parton will showcase the best of disco, house, and techno, with notable names and pillars of the Brooklyn DJ scene including Eli Escobar, Analog Soul, Justin Strauss, Justin Strauss, and DJ Spinnasecured for the opening weeks of operation. DJ/Producer and Brooklyn local Will Buck will be spearheading programming efforts for the cutting-edge sound room, which has an audio system developed by Nicolas Matar and Scott Ciungan of Phonic Technologies. Phonic Technologies, the award-winning sound team behind legendary New York clubs Cielo and Output, takes a holistic approach to sound design that involves the careful study of a venue’s acoustics and the selection of finishes for optimal sound quality. The result must be experienced in person.
Guests enter Jolene from a separate entrance on Bedford Avenue and are greeted by a painted ceiling lit by fluorescent tubes, with textures and colors reminiscent of the 1970s and 1980s nightclubs that inspired the venue, along with inviting modular furniture. The space has intimate seating, interactive lighting, and perfect acoustics, thanks to the custom audiophile speakers. Walnut, leather, and fabrics ensure warm, resonant acoustics, ranging from loungey to clubby according to the performer and the mood. Marquee-style lights line the entire space, syncing to the music to create a multisensory experience. The furniture moves to make room for dancing, and the glowing bar serves up specialty cocktails curated by the Bar Lab team.
Jolene Brooklyn marks the first opening of the Jolene concept, with Jolene Miami, located in the heart of the Downtown neighborhood on Flagler Street, slated for Spring 2023. Brooklyn marks the sixth Moxy hotel opening from Lightstone, following the successful launches of Moxy Times Square, Moxy Chelsea, Moxy East Village, and Moxy Lower East Side, all in New York City, and Moxy South Beach in Miami.
