Hayden James Taps Odd Mob For Official ‘We Could Be Love’ Remix

Today, multi-platinum Melbourne-born, LA-based producer/DJ Hayden James taps Brisbane-based producer/DJ Odd Mob for an official remix of his recent single ‘We Could Be Love’ out now via Future Classic.

A crisp four-on-the-floor reinterpretation of Hayden James and AR/CO’s euphoric house-pop original, Odd Mob has seamlessly turned ‘We Could Be Love’ into an underground club hit. Deep rolling basslines and stuttering synths surround the pitched vocals to transition James’ bright original into a moody tech-house remix. Infusing a dark hypnotic energy throughout, Odd Mob’s ‘We Could Be Love’ remix is sure to be heard on dancefloors across the globe.

On the remix, Hayden James says, “’I’ve been a fan of Aussie Odd Mob for a while and I’ve never heard a DJ play more IDs in their sets!! This remix absolutely belts and it’s going to be a big moment in my sets for sure.”

Odd Mob added, “When Hayden asked for a clubbier mix of this track I was intrigued with where I could take such a big melodic banger. The result is somewhere between Ibiza and my balcony. Hope you all enjoy.”

Since breaking out in 2013 with ‘Permission to Love’ and going on to release revered platinum certified hits ‘Numb’ feat. GRAACE, and ‘Just Friends’, Hayden James has continued to be at the forefront of the Australian house music scene and beyond. Since then, he released his ARIA-nominated debut album Between Us in 2019, and sophomore record LIFTED in 2022, which boasts over half a billion streams and was debuted at Coachella. This year, Hayden James has returned with vibrant new singles ‘Do You Want Me’ with Bob Moses and ‘We Could Be Love’ with AR/CO, along with performances at festivals like HARD Summer, Electric Forest, Osheaga, Deep Tropics, and Breakaway Festival.

Australian export Odd Mob broke out in 2014 with ‘Is It A Banger’, continuing to garner attention with his proven versatility and talent in the studio and behind the decks. 2022 saw the release of his club smash ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’ and ‘Strut’ with house icon Roland Clark, as well as an official remake of Planet Funk’s timeless classic ‘Chase The Sun’. With the success of ‘LEFT TO RIGHT’ earning support from the likes of Fred Again…, Skrillex, Diplo, Disclosure, Chris Lae, and more, 2023 sees Odd Mob skyrocket to new heights. Most recently, Odd Mob released ‘Losing Control’ with OMNOM on John Summit’s rebranded Experts Only imprint following performances at Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, HARD Summer, and Shambhala.
